Volcanic Cuisine

Ten years ago the group of Volcanic Cuisine was founded, bringing together a number of restaurants which had consolidated a passionate style based on the most traditional gastronomic methods of the region by using local produce to design a cuisine to please all tastes.

This is a style which is based on traditional recipes but using their creativity and originality to enrich the local cuisine, with all its distinctive features.

Considering the richness and variety of local produce, the group of Volcanic Cuisine defends its total integration in every day cooking and aims at making its qualities known to the general public.

 

La Garrotxa and its products

Local products that had nearly been forgotten, such as maize soup, corn, buckwheat and black turnips, have been recovered and, together with Santa Pau beans, pork, Vall d'en Bas potatoes, chestnuts, snails, boar and, obviously, the precious wild mushrooms and truffles, help to make the landscape come to life on the plate.
